"so just the government photo ID is good?". As soon as we arrived to Seattle we called Norwegian's Customer Service and asked them if a government photo ID would do? The lady replied yes, it's either an ID, passport or a birth certificate, I even repeated it to her. We're doing an Alaskan Cruise (Juneau, Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, Skagway and Victoria, CA), unfortunately my aunt did not realized that our last stop was in Canada so she doesn't have her passport with her. We fly a day ahead to Seattle before the day of embarkation. We came from Sacramento and had to fly to Seattle (where the embarkation is). I just can’t recommend this trip to anyone…ĭisappointed! It is true that first impression last. Ketchikan prolly has best area to just walk around. Train ride pretty with views but a little too long. Both were fun but I actually saw more whales on ship. We did whale watching in Juneau and train in Scagway. (Especially Scagway) have something planned or you’ll have nothing to do but shop or eat.
You will also be nickel and dimed on this trip with taxes on drinks and other things. You can only see the same comedian, Beatles show, or play bingo so many times. Everything became too repetitive for me after about 4 days. The other paid for (other than buffet) was bar food area with less than average food. The steak was tough to cut and hard to chew. The paid for sit down restaurants were average. With 4 port days you prolly won’t drink enough. Also, if you casually drink I would just pay for drinks as you go. The last thing you want to do is sit around Seattle all day after being worn out. I had to wait 15 hours to board a flight after getting off the boat at 8am.i had an 11:55pm flight. You will be at the mercy of NCL making your flight plans and that could be bad and nearly impossible to get changed. Before doing the all inclusive deal try to price things individually. You will be miserable trying to find a seat at the buffet. The design should be adjusted so people are more spread out. Not sure why they use so much space for go karts, laser tag, and all the pay for restaurants. The buffet, theater, and observation deck are in same area and this is where traffic flows. The ship is designed horribly by forcing everyone to the front of ship elevators and everything becomes a mess.
